Job Description:
The ideal candidate will have the skills and abilities to bid on new projects and have experience in excavation, grading, concrete and asphalt works.
As an Estimator, you will work within our team to achieve our business objectives with the following responsibilities:
- Monitor the market to identify new tender opportunities
- Attend site meetings for new tenders
- Review tender documents and specifications
- Perform quantity take offs
- Obtain quotations from sub-trades
- Utilize Bid 2 Win to calculate unit costs
- Obtain bonding documents
- Prepare preliminary construction schedules
- Negotiate subcontractor agreements and terms
- Provide project details on successfully bid projects to the operations team
Area of Specialization: Asphalt and Concrete Estimating
Requirements:
- Valid G driver’s license must be willing to travel within the GTA and its immediate surrounding areas
- Knowledge of OPSS, OPSD and CCDC contract documents
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
